Terms & Conditions – Prime Cardiology

These Terms & Conditions apply to all patients, visitors, and users of the Prime Cardiology clinic and website. By accessing our services or website, you agree to these terms.

1. Scope of Services

Prime Cardiology provides private specialist cardiology consultations, diagnostic testing, and heart health screening. All medical services are delivered by qualified practitioners in accordance with Australian healthcare regulations.

2. Referrals & Medicare Eligibility

A valid referral is required to access Medicare rebates:

  • GP referrals are valid for 12 months

  • Specialist referrals are valid for 3 months

Without a valid referral, you may still attend on a self-referral basis, but Medicare rebates will not apply, and the service will be privately billed in full.

3. Fees & Payment

  • Prime Cardiology is a private billing clinic.

  • Full payment is required on the day of your consultation or procedure.

  • We accept EFTPOS, credit card, and bank transfer.

  • It is the patient’s responsibility to ensure valid referral and Medicare eligibility at the time of the appointment.

4. Appointment Policy

  • Please arrive on time and bring your referral, Medicare card, and any relevant medical records.

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule, we require at least 24 hours’ notice.

  • A fee may apply for missed appointments or late cancellations.

5. Telehealth Services

  • We offer telehealth consultations via video or phone.

  • A valid referral is required for Medicare-rebatable telehealth services.

  • Standard consultation fees apply unless otherwise arranged.

6. Privacy & Confidentiality

We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) and the Privacy Act 1988. Your personal and medical information will only be shared where clinically necessary (e.g., with your GP or referring doctor) or as required by law.
